This year we’ve been on lots of exciting trips in Year Three. In Autumn Term we visited the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology in Oxford as part of our Invaders and Settlers topic. The children had a great time exploring the galleries, listening to an educational talk and handling objects that dated back to the Roman times!
During Spring Term we studied a topic all about robots. As part of this we went on an educational visit to Thinktank, Birmingham. We had a fantastic day looking around the museum and programming our own robots.
Our current topic is Chocolate. In the first half of Summer Term we went on a trip to Cadbury World where we were able to see chocolate being made and visited a fantastic exhibition about the history of chocolate. We also had the opportunity to participate in a lively and engaging educational talk about the Aztecs.
We were also fortunate enough to attend a concert at CBSO Centre on the theme of Road Safety. The children had wonderful time learning all about how to stay safe. They put this knowledge into practice on the journey home when they were great representatives of the school whilst travelling by train.
